British one-man project D/R/U/G/S is one of this acts who sounds best after sunset. The name might hint some electroclash-rave-madness, but imagine spaced out, mildly euphoric-, bassy- and almost Orbital-like compositions and add a bunch of remixes for people like Lana Del Rey, Lykke Li, Moby and Egyptian Hip Hop – and you have D/R/U/G/S.
With a few releases on the Moshi Moshi-sister label Tender Age and a mix for none less than Mary Anne Hobbs on XFM , D/R/U/G/S is a lone entity armed with an MPC, who makes distinct, arresting and textured house music with an edge, ranging from bleepy electro, to emotional house and angsty techno.
His performance at Trailerpark Festival 2012 will be his first time in Denmark ever – and we are very happy to welcome him, sometime after midnight.
“D/R/U/G/S sound pretty fantastic, a glittering electronic El Dorado, heard through a neighbour’s wall at 8am on Sunday morning, soundtracking a party that’ll never end” – OffModern.com.
